The Four of Pentacles generates both positive and negative perceptions. On one hand, this card signifies a universal blessing: Accomplishment, security and material wealth. But on the opposite side there is a risk that I may place to a high value in this material world thus becoming consumed in my wealth. Yet, this card is not a sermon-in-pictures about the evils of materialism. Rather, it challenges me to think about using this new wealth wisely and in a manner that allows me to grow as a person. Material security is perhaps the foundation for spiritual progress? Pentacles are the magic sign, they stand for the magic of nature and the incredible wonders of everyday life- that which cannot be seen, but are ever present. My challenge is to look beneath the surface and trust in the universe to provide me with the answers.
